The Coral Atlantis Bahamas

When I say Atlantis was one of my top favorite family vacations, I am not exaggerating. I had a blast at this resort! From the minute you walk in, you are greeted by the doormen and then you walk in and are in awe of how beautiful and huge the resort is even just the front desk/check in area. I knew after this vacation that this would be one of those places I book at least once a year, especially since I now get the free 2-night stay by having Caesar’s Casino Diamond status. I did check their casino out and their casino is not a Caesar’s Casino, although they have a partnership.

Arriving In Nassau, Bahamas Airport: When we arrived at the airport we were given a form that needed to be filled out one per person, even babies, for the passport agent to let you into the airport. This form added about 5 minutes to our time of getting into the Bahamas airport and caused so many people to wait in long lines. I was a bit annoyed that this form was not given to us on the flight and instead on arrival but I didn’t want this to ruin the start of our vacation. Once we finally got into the airport to baggage area, we bought a 12-pack of water at the airport, which then realized all we needed was a refillable water bottle because the property had free filtered water all throughout the pool areas. We also bought a pretty expensive alcohol bottle of tequila at the airport to save on costs of alcohol in the property.

Check in: As soon as I walked into the hotel we noticed how big and beautiful the property was. We arrived around 2pm and our room was not ready yet. We were still able to check in and was told that we would get a text once our room was ready. They also provided us with a very nice free refillable water bottle per person to be used in the filtered refillable water stations near the pools.

Room: There are multiple towers in this property, but the tower we stayed in was The Coral Towers. I booked a waterview King bed. The room was nice, but small, and had a balcony overlooking the ocean, which we loved! I did book this hotel free using Marriott Free Night Certificates I received by having the Marriott Boundless Card. I highly recommend this card as I have been able to stay at many Marriott and Ritz properties for free using this card. Here is my referral Link to sign up for the card: https://e.chase.com/T/v600000187045a01a1a8aa8ff4bbc782e8/f3eb5d0ea8b44d910000021ef3a0bcc2/f3eb5d0e-a8b4-4d91-b568-4046c6b587ef?F=v0fUYvjHMDjRPMSh3tviDHXIoXcPxvDgUUCCPvXMWoX_0JoZLAZABQF5mpMDVYup6cUHCziGgRJ2s2PlL0RJkYfHOUBvNqeRvAAj8DKexbQs7B_jgdrAu8zcNaO5T9BNSAuaesS9VzVupnJBd8tWwrTxvszQxeekQQiRb16Hdw4jfHtDWSR9ti_nwU4gxhkcXa8vp1xEZ2hY1doNYUXFZdTUqhnQbXxbjP3oESzGGYuj8-hUcUAylJSM_3Z0cI8ZpQTHFaGrhHXo21q0d07PvVLj-mpIDF77HxtJd7YufTM2Vvkf1_tw_hfk7mJ0wvtc7A

Food: While we waited for our room to be ready, we headed to the outdoor restaurant overlooking the boats on the water, inside the casino. We really enjoyed our meal here. For dinner, we opted for room service and ordered a pizza, quesadilla, and wings, which were also really good! You were able to view the food menu on the tv. The next morning we tried the Buffett Brunch at Poseidon’s Table in the Royal Towers and , although very expensive, it was such a great variety of food and delicious! I also tried the chocolate brownie ice cream in the Coral Towers and it was one of the best ice creams I have ever had! We also ordered nachos with chicken and frozen non alcoholic drinks by the pool that were very delicious and we may or may not have spiked our virgin frozen daiquiris!

Property Grounds: I really enjoyed just spending a couple hours walking around the property grounds admiring the fish, turtles, and sting rays in the pond. As well as admiring the aquarium inside the hotel grounds walking from the Coral Towers to the Royal Towers. There were multiple pools, an adult only lazy river, a waterpark, and a small beach.

Beach: The beach at this property was a pretty far walk from the kiddie pool area where we spent most of our time at. It was nice but small and there were not many chairs with umbrellas available and when I asked a worker for help, they weren’t very helpful and told us to grab any empty one we found. I also didn’t notice anyone going around taking food and drink orders so we had to walk up to the bar nearby to order what we wanted and bring it back to the beach. The towel station was also a pretty far walk and by the time I was done getting towels and a drink, I was ready to leave the beach shortly after. I didn’t hear any music on the beach so it was pretty boring for us.

Pool: There were multiple pools in each tower to choose from. There was also a “lazy river” but was very rough, BUT VERY FUN, that unfortunately we had to take turns getting on since they did not allow small kids. We spent most of our time in the kiddie pool area since we were with our one year old daughter and she really enjoyed all the splash pads, but not so much the slides. The pool water in every pool was FREEZING, which put a limit on how much I could stand to be in it. Even my toddler was shivering!

Waterpark: We didn’t check out the waterpark area, but we plan on doing so next time around. I did take pics of the famous really tall slide that you see when you google Atlantis and looked very fun!

Entertainment: They have a kids lounge called Crush that we toured but it was completely empty with no kids in sight! It was mostly for kids aged 13& up. At night, they had really fun karaoke in the Coral Towers next to the Ice cream station that I really enjoyed watching at night before bed. I didn’t see any adult only lounges or nightclubs and when we asked where we could go for night entertainment they directed us to a restaurant outside of the property, but we opted to not leave the property.

Casino: There was music in the casino but no “party” vibe and was pretty boring. I did hang out and played a few slots but got bored rather quickly.

Check Out: Check out was pretty simple as we packed up and got the luggage carriers to bring our bags down and stopped by the front desk to get a copy of my folio and ordered a Taxi with the front desk back to the airport.

Overall Experience: Although our time was short in Atlantis, we had a really good time and felt very safe and comfortable there. I would absolutely come back and would rate this trip a 9/10!
