My Complete Review of: The Ritz Carlton Naples Florida
Estimated Read Time: 12 Minutes
We decided to spend a quick weekend at the Ritz Carlton in Naples Florida and we had such a great time! We loved it so much we want to plan another trip there soon hopefully after the repairs from Hurricane Ian. Here is a breakdown of the full review of our trip:
Arriving in RSW Airport: We flew into RSW airport using the Avelo Airlines from New Haven, CT , which by the way is an amazing airline and airport with wonderful service and staff! The airport was small and very easy to navigate. We ended up using Uber to get to the hotel which wasn’t far at all.
Avelo Airlines: We had given all Avelo Airline workers including the gate agents and the flight attendants starbucks gift cards and they were so pleased to have us on our flight. We bought the baby a seat on the flight so we were able to bring the Doona Car seat on the plane but the car seat was a really tight fit on this airline so will probably use a smaller car seat for a future flight with them. We didn’t get any drinks or snacks at all not even offered to purchase which I found quite odd. They did offer me a free bottled water when I asked and wasn’t charged but not sure if the water was complimentary or if they were just being nice. Overall, I would fly this airline again and bring drinks and snacks for the flight.
Check In: We checked in right by the entrance in an office setting area and were welcomed with a glass of champagne as well as some delicious cookies. I asked about a possible upgrade which they did upgrade us to a pool and ocean view room which was really nice! One thing I have to mention is I absolutely love the hospitality at all the Ritz I have stayed at!
Room: The room was absolutely very spacious clean and had a king bed and twin sofa couch pull out bed, which was more than enough space for us. Our room had a balcony with a view of the pool and beach. The hotel was currently under heavy construction especially around the pool so they had a few sections closed off but the main pool and kids pool was still open to be enjoyed. They said they were making the main pool into an adults only pool with cabanas (on the beach side of the resort) but not sure how soon that will happen with the damage that happened at this hotel after Hurricane Ian as the beach side of the resort is closed until at least early next year, but the golf side with the waterpark remains open.
Food: We tried a few options at this resort including the Gumbo Limbo on the Beach side of the resort. The food at Gumbo Limbo was a bit underwhelming as almost all the food options we ordered weren’t that great except for the steak. The steak and the frozen drinks were really good here but what makes it the best is the amazing ocean views while having lunch or dinner here. We ended up ordering a bunch of times by the pool and waterpark from the kids menu which seemed worth the $15 for a big portion or chicken tenders and fries which came with a kid’s size drink. The chips with guac and salsa was also delicious by the pools! I would absolutely AVOID the Grill restaurant on the beach side as the food was absolutely awfully salty and horrible and was the most expensive out of all our meals. If you want to go somewhere outside of the resort for a good meal, I absolutely recommend Bar Tulia, they have the most delicious food and service!
Beach: The beach at this resort was so clean and the water was amazing. The service was great on the beach as you were able to get free beach chairs and umbrellas as well as sunscreen and lotion as well. Towels were also available and the service here was fantastic! I also loved that they had water available as it gets really hot out in the sun all day!
Pool: I really enjoyed both pools at the golf side and beach side as they were both heated and they lit up at night which made them look so pretty. There were plenty of pool chairs and umbrellas to choose from and fresh towels and sunscreen and water. They also handed out free cups of fruit by the pool too which was really refreshing!
Waterpark: The waterpark and lazy river and another main pool was located on the golf side of the resort. Keep in mind there is a free shuttle that runs every hour on the hour to and from both resorts the beach resort and the golf resort. Me and the wife and kids loved this part of the resort and it was the highlight of our trip! The lazy river was so much fun too!
Kid’s Club: I was super excited to see this kids club which had a TV, books, activity center, and a climbing area. Although my baby was a bit young for this area, I was excited to have her enjoy it in the future.
Check Out: Check out was pretty smooth with no issues and no surprise charges.
Overall Experience: One of my favorite parts of this resort was the whole scenery of the beach side of the resort, which had many wildlife creatures you were able to try and spot such as river otters, red-bellied turtles, and alligators! The golf side of the resort had the kids club as well as a gym. I would absolutely return and stay at either side of the resort depending on prices as the shuttle is available to shuttle you back and forth for free every hour. I would try more outside restaurants for lunch or dinner. I really did enjoy my stay here and recommend anyone traveling as a couple or a family to come and stay here as there is so many things to enjoy. We did not check out the spa so cannot comment on that but I have heard great things! I would rate this stay a 8/10!
